Prieur, A. M., Bach, J. F., Griscelli, C., Judet, C., Ballet, J. J., Bach, C., and Mozziconacci, P. (1974). Archives of Disease in Childhood, 49, 438. Rheumatoid rosette in juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The rheumatoid rosette test was performed in 159 children. Positive results were found more frequently in juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when more than four joints were involved. It is not to be considered as a diagnostic test since 'false positive' tests occur in other diseases. The immunological significance of the rosette test is discussed.

متن کاملAdverse Effects of Synovectomy on Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
One hundred fifty two patients with Juve nile rheumatoid arthritis were retrospectively studied in an effort to determine the efficacy of synovectomy in thi's disease. Twenty-five of 117 closely observed patients underwent synovectomy following failure to be controlled by more conservative measures. Analysis of the end-results on the basis of age, sex, stage of disease, and individual joints...
متن کاملLymphocytes bearing Fc gamma receptors in rheumatoid arthritis. I. An increased subpopulation of cells in rheumatoid arthritis detected with Facb rosettes.
The chronic production of IgM and IgG antiglobulins is a major feature of rheumatoid arthritis. This implies an abnormal interaction between rheumatoid leucocytes and IgG. A novel rosette assay employing rabbit Facb-coated calf red blood cells has been developed to study receptors for IgG on peripheral blood lymphocytes. Cells were obtained from groups of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA)...
متن کاملAnticardiolipin Antibodies in Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Background: Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) can either occur as a primary syndrome or associated with other autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) of IgG and/or IgM isotype in blood, measured by a standardized ELISA is the most acceptable laboratory criteria. APS IgG isotype, particularly IgG2 subclass is more strongly associated ...
متن کاملRosette formation by circulating lymphocytes from rheumatoid and nonrheumatoid subjects.
In the majority of patients with rheumatoid arthritis the immune response is most readily detected as a production of rheumatoid factors, IgM antibodies, which agglutinate to high titre erythrocytes coated with IgG antibodies from man, rabbit, or sheep, etc. Generally, only low titres of rheumatoid factors are found in nonrheumatoid individuals. Bach, Delrieu, and Delbarre (1970a, b) described ...
